Purpose
The Baldwin Park Unified School District Head Start/State Preschool/Early Head Start Policy Council serves as a policy and decision-making body. The purpose for the Baldwin Park Unified School District Head Start/State Preschool/Early Head Start Policy Council is to serve as a policy and decision-making body. The Council uses all its resources to help maintain the highest educational standards for children and to stimulate parent involvement. The Council consults with the Baldwin Park Unified School District Head Start /State Preschool/ Early Head Start Director, the Superintendent of the District, the District Board of Education, and the Office of Head Start. The Policy Council is responsible for initiating necessary changes in program policies through democratic procedures adhering to the Bylaws, Robert’s Rules of Order, the Brown Act, and any other state or district regulations, codes, and laws.
